Plastic Bag Self-Test

I applaud you in taking the time to take this self-test. This is the first step.

  1. Have you ever purged your house of single-use bags, only to find BagMonsters quickly piling up in cabinets, closets or drawers?
  2. Do you usually have “good” reasons for your single-use bag needs? For doggie doo and kitty poo – try compostable bags or last week’s newspaper.
  3. Do you own reusable bags but forget them at your house or in the car?
  4. Have you ever blamed the bagger or store for your habit – tsk tsk?
  5. Have you ever believed there are only two choices: paper or plastic?
  6. Are you concerned that if you stop using single-use bags your life will become more difficult or unmanageable?
  7. Have you ever accepted a bag when you were able to easily carry your purchase in your hands?
  8. Do you ever double-bag or—gasp-- triple bag your purchases?
  9. Do you feel depressed or guilty after you use or throw away a single-use bag?
  10. Have you ever lost circulation in your hands from carrying too many heavy single-use bags at once?

If you have answered YES to any of the questions, you may have a single-use bag problem. Our mission is to give you the tools and inspiration to adopt a consistent reusable bag habit.
